What an absolutely lovely and grounding interview! - thank you, Amanda and Catherine! I found myself nodding (and aha-ing) along with Catherine’s reflections on writing as both sanctuary and self-communion. At one point, I found myself laughing out loud thinking, How does she know my internal experience so well? I, too, experience writing and turning inward as a sacred act of self-discovery.
The phrase “clarity through the chaos” captures so beautifully what mindful writing offers, especially amidst the swirl of caregiving, deadlines and life’s endless responsibilities. (I’m not a parent myself unless you count my cat, TomTom, who has very strong opinions about when I’m allowed to sit still.) Thus, I bow in deep appreciation for how Catherine honors writing as a soul-nourishing ritual. Her words remind me that creativity and self-connection can walk hand in hand and give back to us on a repeated basis.
This piece leaves me inspired to reconnect with my own desire to write something meaningful. Now if I can just set aside the laundry, the morning workout and the ever-expanding weekend to-do list, I might just get a few sacred words onto the page :)
Dr. Bronce, your words wrapped around my heart like a cozy blanket—thank you so much for this beautiful reflection. I’m smiling so big over here (and TomTom’s sacred stillness schedule has officially earned a spot in my heart🐾).
I’m deeply honored that something in my experience mirrored your own—it’s always magic when our private inner worlds bump into each other and whisper, “You too?” Yes to writing as self-communion, as sanctuary, as that sacred pause when the swirl of life softens and something true begins to rise. 🌼
Amanda, thank you from the depths of my heart for creating such a nurturing space for writers to share their soul work. I felt so held in your thoughtful questions—and reading this back, I’m reminded just how powerful it is to pause, reflect, and witness the journey with fresh eyes.
It’s such a gift to be part of this circle of mindful creatives. I’m honored to add my voice, and so grateful for the heart and intention you pour into this beautiful community. 💙
It's wonderful to have you in the interview series and as part of the community, Catherine. It's balm to my soul to have discovered so many thoughtful, openhearted and loving people here on Substack. 💙
