What an interesting blog. Glad you have found such inner peace. I am sure doing qigong (I assume you do too) can’t do anything but help balance. Both mental and physical. GOod luck on your travels and keep us posted - i enjoy reading your words.

Thank you, Jane. I'm really glad you enjoy my words. Yes I do qigong too - every morning it's the first thing I do after waking up. It's a wonderful way to start the day.

I teach qigong as well… it’s such a gentle way for mental space and physical wellbeing - your writing style is lovely by the way

Thanks Jane. Always great to come across other qigong lovers. It's such a great thing. My stamina has increased massively yet it feels so gentle and not like I am having to work hard to improve my fitness.

This is lovely, Amanda. I'm so glad you've had time and space to reflect and gather energy. It seems to me that we are much more likely to co-create a more beautiful world if we follow our hearts and allow ourselves to be guided by our intuitive sense of what we need to heal and to thrive. That sense/pressure of needing to justify ourselves comes from the old story of separation: these choices are better than those choices, I'm better than them. I find myself thinking often of the 'hold the line' mantra and use it still to remind myself to hold my stance against the fear/guilt/should/ought machine.

Thanks Rachel. Yes we definitely need to try and be what we want to see in the world. And following our hearts is the only way to achieve that, I believe. That mantra is a good one. We keep saying "stand strong" when we feel ourselves falter from our path and those doubt demons tell us to start living a conventional life as it would be easier.

How exciting to be able to travel so much. The world is such a vast space with so much to offer. Our son also lives a nomadic life. He'll be 30 this month and will be spending it in Australia. I enjoy reading about your experiences.

Thank you for the insightful post, Amanda. It's healing in itself to read of your ongoing experience of healing. And what you say about the contingencies of life and relationships temporarily occluding your ability to let in new stories really resonates. I wish you all good things.

Many thanks, Matt. A part of my healing has been a new willingness to open myself up and share. I would never have been able to write these posts before! I'm glad they are resonating with you.

Thank you, Amanda! What a great plan. We had a semi-nomadic 5 years when we let our cottage in summer to pay the bills, and lived in a camper van. We didn't go as far as you're going, though! The North American trip sounds wonderful. All the very best x

Thanks Patience. We've done the camper thing too - and we lived on a canal narrowboat for 9 months once and travelled around England. Have always had itchy feet!

Love that photo. Greece is so eternal, so healing. Glad to hear you have found some resolution in your life. And yes, we can only do our own small acts viz the world and its troubles. So glad you will be nomading again! Looking forward to hearing all about Canada.

I’m realizing that travel is something I’d really like to do more of, like it’s integral to me in some way I hadn’t realized. So I’m waiting to see where that realization goes. British Columbia is beautiful! Glad you will get to explore the western hemisphere a bit.

Thanks Emily. I had always been drawn East previously and most of my travels have been in Asia. Very much looking forward to exploring in the American continent. Hoping to go to the US after Canada.

"A time for every purpose unto heaven" - The Bible. Whether it's for a year, or a decade, you have to recharge your battery if you're going to keep shining your light. With so much adversity, getting "out there" where you can take in the bigger picture, sounds like a great idea. Happy Travels Amanda and company!
